If we leave the laptop for downloading, The downloader says its downloaded but getting error while unarchive The archive is Xcode_12_beta.xip is damaged and can't be expanded

I'm not able reproduce this issue. Can you please provide the logs. You can see the logs generated by Downloader in File>Logs>Show in Finder or just press ⌘+F.

Thanks for the log @kksuthar321. I'm finally able to reproduce this issue. In the next release, I'll provide proper error when download get aborted. However, if you try to download same file again your download will start again from the same point.

The same happened to me but the download appears as completed, and I can't restart/resume the download. What I'm trying now is to removed the downloaded .xip file from my disk and all folders with the name co.di.Downloader from ~/Library to start the download from the beginning but it always appears as a completed download on the Downloader app.

I'm really sorry about that. Also, if you want to restart the download from the same position then don't delete .xip file. Also, please check downloaded logs File>Logs>Show in Finder or just press ⌘+F.

Thanks @vineetchoudhary, I'm afraid I deleted the downloaded .xip and also removed the folders in ~/Library that had the logs. I also couldn't find where all the meta data is stored, because I can't remove the file from the list of downloaded items.

I think I got problem related to this issue. It's not about damaged, I think it's about aria2 downloader not resuming the download and the Downloader app just immediate say the download completed. The damaged file occurred because of the aria2 still not finished download the file.
