Feature request: allow other servers (gitlab or self-hosted)

Thanks for your work,

Please consider allowing other git servers, like gitlab or any self-served git.

I would love to do that. But it all depends on the APIs offered by the git servers. I'm yet to explore the other APIs. If other git servers provide API similar to GitHub (i.e the repository git tree structure), then things would be much easier.
