Fails to update symbol

Imports footprint and 3d model but will not fetch the symbol. Have to create libraries other than "easyeda2kicad/easyeda2kicad.kicad_sym", which is annoying. Can you fix this? The file easyeda2kicad.kicad_sym is opened written to and closed. The file size increases, yet the schematic editor nor the symbol editor sees the new symbol that was added.
