Can you add Varken once InfluxDB has been added?

@NightShaman InfluxDB is not going to be an integrated solution. Which means that we are not going to add any apps that depend on it.
it's simply a shareware application. It's MAYBE going to get someday added as a seperate app, but that means it's not going to be approved for use as a dependency.
TLDR: We focus on Prometheus ONLY.

I've again looked into Varken. Seems they still, long time after asking, still don't actively support prometheus and it's not actively maintained either.
It's also pretty redundant as soon as we add prometheus exporters to *arr,
So, Why I appreciate the request, i'm actually going to close it: We had a vote on the discord to not-support InfluxDB as a dependency and go prometheus only, this was approved. We also have had the rule that databases have-to-be integrated into the App or, at least, require zero user interaction.
This means that this App is basically unmergable or has so many blockers it's not feasable to keep a ticket open for it:
- The right version(!) of influxdb has to be added
- InfluxDB automatic integration code has to be added
- It itself has to be build.
Mostly all of these are only done by me at the moment and there is no sight on someone else to start doing more general common modifications.
So basically: Not denied, but closed due to being unfeasable and unlikely to be added within a 1 year timeframe
Addition: Why not within a year? one might ask... It's a natural consequence on the vote to go for Prometheus. I cannot in fairness start spending a load of devtime after that vote working on this, instead of the actual roadmap.
@Ornias1993 Was this intentionally reopened/have you changed plans about adding Varken and/or InfluxDB as an app?
Found this issue when looking to see if Varken was in the works or already requested, otherwise I was going to spin up a VM for it and influxdb.
(Trying to view two Tautulli installs for two different plex servers and Varken was the main result when I searched on how to accomplish that.)
All non-added requests have been re-open to have a "list" of what people want, so anyone can start working on them. (except some that are not going to work with k8s)
The only thing that's probably gonna be declined is the addition of InfluxDB as a dependency. It could be added as a standalone app tho.

Dependency is fine actually, considering we're going to move things like nextcloud and such to enterprise train this year...
And we have the tag-switcher now, so we might even be able to support both Influxdb versions on the same dependency app.
