Actually [Greg K-H just merged Samsung's exfat driver into his staging-next](https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/staging.git/tree/drivers/staging/exfat?h=staging-next) and [Linus apparently agrees](https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/tree/drivers/staging/exfat). It's going to be in 5.4. Maybe you can send some of your patches upstream?
