Add hype to hitting a baddie?

we have that confetti coming out of their head and the screen shakes, but should we add like children cheering or something? or the level background color changes? or the speed of the music increases? I feel like there should be a bigger endorphin when you kill a baddie to encourage you (new players get discouraged quickly)
