Steps to Reproduce
- First add this url("${project(':react-native-background-geolocation').projectDir}/libs") in maven
- Adding Project background_geolocation = project(':react-native-background-geolocation') and apply from: "${background_geolocation.projectDir}/app.gradle"
- Installing react-native-background-fetch and react-native-background-geolocation
- Adding compileSdkVersion = 31 , appCompatVersion = "1.4.2" and googlePlayServicesLocationVersion = "20.0.0"

If you are just going to claim the plugin isn't responsible for the crash because you don't see the problem in there, then no not very useful
Show me your stacktrace.
if a stacktrace does not reference the plug-in com.transistorsoft them the plug-in is not at fault. You need to seek support elsewhere.
@SMuncal I have a branch of my app where I just updated react native from 0.64 to 0.71 , no other major changes. The plugin seems to be working fine there
