Application Not Closing Gracefully When Removed From RAM In Running State (Tracking is ON)

Expected Behavior

The application, implemented above react-native-background-geolocation sdk, should close gracefully (without any errors) when the user removes it in a running state (location tracking is ON) from RAM.

Actual Behavior

While removing the app, implemented above the react-native-background-geolocation SDK, in running state (location tracking is ON) we can see an error log in ADB logs. If the app is closed in the stopped state then, it closes gracefully, that is, without any error log. In fact, an informational log appears indicating that the app is removed from RAM.

Whereas the below error log appears in between the logs from the react-native-background-geolocation when application is closed in running state

This behavior is in turn not allowing us to close the application properly, which in turn is breaking one of our features. On IOS, this is working perfectly fine.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Initialise the plugin
  2. Call the SDK Start Tracking method
  3. Remove it from the RAM (by using clear all or swap up/down)
  4. Observe the logs in ADB

What do mean by "Removed from RAM"? Terminating the app by swiping via app switcher or Settings "Force stop"?

I do not see anything unusual from your logs referencing the plugin com.transistorsoft.*

When I place my Demo App into the tracking state (.changePace(true)) then terminate the app, I see the following logs and the plugin terminates correctly.

What do mean by "Removed from RAM"? Terminating the app by swiping via app switcher or Settings "Force stop"?

By using the swipe up/left/right OR clear all option for removing the application from RAM . Also, did you tried with the same config which i had mentioned in the issue ??
