Option to turn on airplane mode when not communicating

I've pondered mailing a phone with Traccar just for fun, to watch it cross the country. But likely the battery would die before it got to its destination... Would be handy to have the ability to set the interval to maybe an hour, and have Traccar toggle airplane mode on/off to save battery in between.

It sounds like a job for tasker apps, not for Traccar.

Tasker apps don't know when Traccar has data to upload?

Your description doesn't say anything about uploading data.

The idea is, airplane mode would be turned on except when Traccar is ready to upload data using the network. So when Traccar is idle, the cellular network doesn't need to be active.

I think I understand your request now, but I don't think this feature would be useful to most users.

Also, as I understand it, the ability for apps to toggle flight mode was removed from Android 4.2+.
