[Feature Request] Force update for x seconds after an event (Better mod compatibility)

Specifically, UI mods like smooth hotbar or chat animation/smooth scrolling, have animations. Although it usually only occurs on the first few seconds. I was thinking a feature where the mod enables force update and have a configurable time for it to disable force update, that way, the animation wouldn't stop abruptly.

I guess this is possible? But will have to move that into the future for when a decent config screen is available, for now just turning on force updates is enough.
