Please don't leave....
Please do not leave this project. TAKE ALL THE TIME YOU NEED to release next update , like take 12 months to release the next update , but plz don't leave it like that. you don't have to use up all your free time. It is the best Tox client i ever had for my win7. No crashes , simple design ...and secure. I Think tox should really push this client over their bs qTox client. which crashes all the time. It's my humble request .plz. we don't neeed big changes in next update , you can take it slow take all time you need do it one by one... do all you can, you don't need to go beyond your ability.
I prefer Toxygen and Isotoxin over qTox and uTox. Isotoxin is semi-abandoned so if Toxygen also gets abandoned I will have to go back to Tox clients I do not like. I hope that the developer will revise his decision. Slow development is always better than no development.
@ingvar1995 I can understand your disappointment about toxcore development. I hope that you may choose to concentrate on maintaining Toxygen only (no further involvement with toxcore). I will miss Toxygen if it is abandoned for good.
@smaragdus that's exactly what i was saying to @ingvar1995 brother. This tox client is far better than others. However i didn't qt test other components like vid call and voice but texting works fine and that's enough for me. I didn't try Isotoxin. And qTox is total garbage , a failure if i may say. Donno why Tox community isn't helping Toxygen's dev. In future i might contact them to req. Toxigen as primary Tox Clnt. and help Dev. it.
Oh, it's python. I'll fork it and do a deep dive in the coming months. Looking at it, I see a need for a lot of code documentation, if @ingvar1995 could do a round of documenting the code, I will help out over new years.
How does that sound?
@Swoy Hello! I started rewriting almost from scratch in next_gen branch but didn't finish it, so you're right, a lot of documentation is missed. Good if you wanna help, I can help you with docs then :)
Thanks for the info! I'm currently working on my thesis, so I can't promise much help before we say 2019 tho. So I guess there is plenty of time for documentation efforts ^^
Let me know once you have some time to write doc, I have some spare time this fall :)
@Swoy What kind of docs do you need? I don'y have enough time for writing proper documentation...
I can see this program taking over discord if inline images/gifs/webm are displayed in the same way as discord and push to talk is developed
