I'm making a new frontend for Ruffle Android 2.0
It's hard to believe that I'm letting developers (temporarily) stop updating, but it took Ruffle Android lead developer torokati44 a year and still hasn't made it easy to use.
I made more people aware of its existence, and hopefully those 5,000 people will contribute to Ruffle Android and eventually get it actually merged into the official Ruffle repository and generate daily builds and appear on the Ruffle website!
I'm working on a new front-end for Ruffle Android and updating the version to 2.0.I'm going to rewrite the front-end modeled after the pre-2017 Magic DosBox and add a few files that are not related to or used by Flash, most of which are files that were once publicly available from Magic DosBox. Some of the file names or paths will be changed by me, translations will be added, possible support for lower versions of Android, choice of folders or single files or multiple files, and SD cards? There are more in my plans
A lot of people don't want Spinner. with a black OLED screen as the default theme
Can you make Dependabot stop working temporarily? And delete all the old apk files as they don't make much difference when used, and only keep the latest version of the apk files
Can you create a new branch without any files? I will upload my finished code to your repository via Pull Request. I won't make any changes to the uploaded code, and a lot of the code is not common to yours, that's why I'm asking you if you can create a new branch without any files, and after uploading it to your repository you and the other developers will re-edit the code in the new branch. After the code is done release the 2.0 apk a couple times and if you don't have any problems, move Ruffle Android to the official repository create a daily build and show it on the official website
One more question. iPhone OS version of Ruffle. now Apple allows users to download the emulator from the store.
Also I've never installed any IDEs so I can't test for bugs
It's best if no one replies to me, and I know it's not a good idea to stop updating for a while. After I'm done with it, most of the front-end related issues and TODOs can be removed and close
Let me adress this one bit at a time: possible duplicate of #177 , but both of these are problematic.
you don't need to trash on the developer of a side project.
The main page and 'lead developer torokati44' have both made it abundantly clear this app is in a very early stage and that developmeny is not a priority.
you are also not very coherent. you're "letting developers stop updating" and "letting 5,000 people know about it" what does this mean? are you telling people things or making promises on behalf of this project?
"a lot of people don't want spinner" what does this mean? people don't want a loading icon?
"Can you make Dependabot stop working temporarily? " "Can you create a new branch without any files?" these sound like things you can for yourself if you're this desperate. making a fork on github is not hard
overall, it just seems like you have a specific vision for this project, that you want to go your way, regardless of any (or no) opinion
Please understand that no one gets paid to make this, as far as I'm aware. torokati, as far as I can tell does this project during their free time. main Ruffle has been priority and just because this project is infrequently updated, does not mean you can make demands of its developers, or take that as a sign to expect to become its new owner or project lead. A lack of updates does not entitle you to make sweeping decisions nor does it mean that you were 'letting' them not update
you've made a lot of issue reports on this project and most are demanding, not very clear, or statements of facts and not issues. Please stop, or try to improve how you treat others.
This guy has been making useless requests on different projects and all of them are the same thing. Most of the issues on the Mupen64Plus AE repo are him spiting nothing but nonsense.
Help me do it
