Fixed this up to be a bit saner -- no more subshell `echo`es, in other words :).

@jgarbora -- couple of things: 1. Suggest you use systemd-resolved's stub resolver; see [here](https://github.com/jonathanio/update-systemd-resolved#stub-resolver) for instructions on setting it up. 2. Do you have access to the OpenVPN server configuration...
