selector issue

Minimal reproduction of the bug with instructions:

Am using as a selector in your html and it is appearing on the page i.e. hello world still prints hello world

Expected behavior:

An error should be popping up saying selector is not valid

Other information:

How is this working?

More on this, e.g. in stock-market-container.component.html, I can add hello at the top and there is no console error but if remove the dash, hello I get the error NG0304: 'abcxyz' is not a known element. This behavior is only in ExamplesModule. In all other modules, it works as expected.

The issue is in the ExamplesModule only.
