Question: Chapter number always starts with 1

The default caption uses something like "caption": "Image _PAGE_LEVEL_._PAGE_IMAGE_NUMBER_ - _CAPTION_". In my case, when I do not use different parts in my SUMMARY.md file, the chapter number is always 1 (probably reflecting part 1), so all my figure numbers have a leading 1, e.g. Fig 1.1.1 is the first image in chapter 1. I would have preferred to have Fig 1.1 instead. Is this possible?

Wouldnt this work:

"Image PAGE_IMAGE_NUMBER - CAPTION"
