Git status file search does not work with multiple panes

The git status search does not work when the TMUX window has multiple panes loaded. Is this expected behavior?

~~I'm having this issue in the first window of one of my sessions, but seemingly not anywhere else. I'm not sure why this is because I tried restarting tmux completely and it still happens just for that one window. All my windows have 2 panes.~~

Ignore, I commented too soon. My issue seems to be caused by file paths that start with ../
