If you're living in Emacs, it's easy to miss the fact that students have sent messages on the Canvas platform! Need some way of pulling notifications in, and preferably replying to them directly. UI design starts to look difficult; can look at forge-notifications in magit/forge, but that uses eieio and closql, so it's a big step up in complexity.

Instead it might be better to use ephemeral buffers to pull in conversations & messages on demand, and respond in an interface a bit like forge's issu editing. This relies on magit-section and the plumbing there may be quite closely tied to magit... so unfortunately this may not be feasible.

Anyway. Something to think about.
