[akhilerm/tag-push-action](https://github.com/akhilerm/tag-push-action) does pretty much exactly what you want (i.e. pull, re-tag, push). There's also [Sinker](https://github.com/plexsystems/sinker), a CLI tool to sync images between repositories.

I'd love to see this, definitely the main thing I miss after switching from Nova!

I've forked this, bumped dependencies, and made a release at https://github.com/tigattack/t4da. I don't plan on hosting a public version but it's super easy to get running, just as cidrblock's version...

After a year, this is still the [most upvoted open issue in the repository](https://github.com/hashicorp/terraform-provider-vsphere/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+sort%3Areactions-%2B1-desc), and by a decent margin too. I must wonder why it's still stuck in the backlog...

I'll take a look into this. Seems like it should be pretty simple and, as luck would have it, I have a personal Google Workspace tenant that I can use...
