Disabling zoom effect
how to disable zoom effect when i go on editing code ? it makes impossible to move cursor where i want or multi select. i didnt see in css files . thx/
It took me longer to find this than I'm proud of, but you're looking for the transform on line 17 in the epic animations CSS file. You can just comment that transform... but I found reducing it to a sane value like 1.05 did the trick for my purposes.
I also have another suggestion to improve quality of life. If you remove .mtk3:hover from the list of class selectors on line 15, it will disable the zoom for comments, which makes life MUCH easier since I've found that the zoom only ever becomes a problem in long blocks of text of the same class, as the zoom scaling begins to do weird things at that point and I've seen it get stuck in some places until you hover your mouse around, sometimes even covering up other characters.
~~Personally I like the zoom for my code, so long as it's at a sane value like I mentioned in my last comment, since it helps me focus on where my cursor is at, but, it absolutely does break for longer lines of the same class, but this seems to be mostly a problem for comments, which this tweak would solve.~~
EDIT: I take it all back. Because of how VS Code draws block boundaries in text (everything that shares the same style is part of one block), zoom with even the lowest settings can cause your cursor to get placed in very weird places. The only sane way to work with this is to disable zoom. I'd like to eventually look at whether it could be applied a bit more granularly, but I doubt it'll work.
