Make your own input expander

Hi. Is it possible to use your library for making a input expander? To buy a expander for more input sensors cost some money and I'm thinking about to make my own pcb and using Arduino as IDE.

If it is possible, do you have any example so I can see how I can use your library for sending commands to the base unit so it thinks it's a input sensor?
