when i try to add a citation i see this, image

but when i start typing, not text is entered and the notebook seems to be in command mode. ie if i type a, a new cell is created (behind the citation dialog)

(I am not an authority in this but I will try). I think that you should try to enter citations in a Markdown cell. If that doesn't work, it is possible that you may not have set up Zotero to publish your entire library. See https://github.com/takluyver/cite2c/issues/18. Also the issue here https://github.com/takluyver/cite2c/issues/9 on resetting your ID may be useful. Hope that helps.

so, i have found that if i hold down shift when typing it works as expected. if i do not hold down shift, then anything that i type appears to control the notebook in the background.

@indranilsinharoy thanks for your suggestions. i am using margdown cell, and the fact that it works when i hold down shift, i think indicates that zotero is working correctly.

Can't immediately reproduce. What version of the notebook do you have, and which browser are you using?
