Chrome settings and bookmarks not clickable

Open RoboDave21 opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

With the setting "Focus without raising window" enabled, it's not possible in Chrome to get into the settings or any adjustment through the 3-dot menu on the top right. When clicking it, the dropdown menu appears, then when hovering over it disappears after the 0.05s timer runs out. Meaning, in order to get into settings, you have to click it within 0.05s. Same thing with the bookmarks if they're in a folder.

Maybe there is a way to disable AutoFocus within an application window? Or even better, a shortcut to temporarily disable AutoFocus?

Mac mini:

  • OS: Ventura macOS 13.4.1
  • CPU: M2 pro
  • Version 0.6.7

Thanks, David

It's a bug indeed. For the time being, tick the "fn temporarily allows raising" checkbox to bypass this behaviour. Push the Function modifier key (fn) and quickly release it before clicking Chrome's settings. It takes some practice 😅 but it works.

Same issue with using Chrome Password Manager to auto-fill passwords. The password field never gets populated and the authentication dialog can't pop up.
