Adding Assignee Breaks API imports

Just as the title said, I noticed that when I created an issue in the repo and set myself as the assignee the fetching broke. I did check my setup, and my GH username is set as the allowed poster and repo owner. Once I removed the assignee I was able to pull the issues from the API. I'll continue to investigate.

@georgeoffley Is there a specific way to recreate this? I did assign myself as an assignee but it did not break.
