[BUG] Theme changing back to dark from light when a new page is loaded

Describe the bug

I've noticed that if I change the theme to light on any page and then switch to another page the theme goes back to being dark. It's that way on my website and the example website, but not the author's personal website.

I have defaultTheme set to "auto", but changing it to light or dark doesn't change the effect.

Expected behavior

I expect the website to stay dark or light depending on which is selected.
