Shift+Mousewheel scrolls left/right and up/down at the same time

Open fschoenm opened this issue 7 years ago • 2 comments

Version info

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Build: 1097

Description

If lines are too long to display a horizontal scrollbar appears due to long lines (e.g. in the diff side-by-side view).

  1. Using Shift+Mouse wheel to scroll sideways works but also scrolls up or down a little at the same time. (Interestingly, in the wrong direction.)
  2. When the horizontal scrollbar hits the end, the Shift+Mouse wheel suddenly starts to scroll up/down with full speed (this time in the right direction).

Both effects lead to the view moving/jumping around when scrolling sideways.

Steps to reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Have a pane with horizontal scrollbar.
  2. Use Shift+Mouse wheel.

Expected behavior

Don't scroll up/down at all when using Shift+Mouse wheel in a pane that has a horizontal scrollbar.

Personally, I haven't experienced first problem myself, but would like to fix for the second one.

Bump. Can still reproduce on build 2091 on Kubuntu 23.10 64 bit. Would really like to see this fixed.
