Is there a way to configure the cursor?

Is there a way to configure the cursor that shows in command mode to non-blinking, and into a solid i-type cursor (instead of an underscore type-cursor)?

Does one have to use https://github.com/netpro2k/SublimeBlockCursor or will this be a soon to be feature for Vintage?

Last time I checked, https://github.com/netpro2k/SublimeBlockCursor was also a bit buggy...

I would also really like a block cursor. The biggest problem with the underscore cursor is that it is hard to see where the cursor is, especially for some letters such as underscore.

+1 vote block cursor. An underscore looks wrong to vim people.
