add position lock feature - center of view (mouse not tracked)

Open jjustra opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

This allows to set center of view from command line - mouse will not be tracked. It is hard to find magnifier that does no track mouse. It can be useful for playing old games that have small window only, for example.

This is cool, and something for which I've had to package xzoom. That program lets you click-and-drag from this app window to where on the screen to magnify. Do you think you could investigate adding that as a feature?

This should do it. See if it's ok.

Wow, that is a drag-around feature, and not what I was thinking of! But it does enable the user to change where the non-mouse-following zoomed in area is, so it's good enough for me. (I'm not official contributor or anything, just another random magnus user, by the way.) I'm going to go merge that with my own feature branch now.

Ah, I now see what you originaly meant. Glad it worked out in the end.

Yes and also for (GTK+)CSS development!

The drag option is not really easy to use, but, it's working. If I can suggest, press F12 for example, to set the view under the cursor.
