Yes, when built w/o git, the revision number is simply taken from a static file, so can't be trusted. If you can build from sources, you can try instr_jit branch....

I think there was supposed to be some image, but it was probably not finished in time, so the authors made it invisible with palette tricks.
I have finally developed the fix to this. It is in the branch "mpmap" so far, and needs more testing. Would be good if you see how it goes.
No-no, its not like that. :) The objective was to make this smooth with default settings, which means KVM. Unfortunately I haven't merged this branch yet, but its already testible....
