Support for Huawei Mobile Services
(This started as a question on your Discord channel and supporters there told me it's better to open an issue here.)
We would like to recommend Stripe to Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) users/developers too. But it's not clear if this SDK is compatible with HMS. The first step to find out is to identify if there are dependencies in the Stripe SDK from Google Play Services (GMS) or Firebase. At a basic level, HMS is pure Android without GMS.
One next possible step would be to add support for Huawei Wallet and Huawei Pay.

Thanks for writing in and your interest in using our SDK. The Stripe SDK will work on versions of Android that do not have Google Play Services or Firebase.
Sorry to re-direct you again, but to request to adding support for Huawei Wallet and Huawei Pay it would be best to email support.

Update: I wrote to support as instructed and received a very generic answer that everything is going to be fine and my feedback will be passed to the product team. So not sure what should we do with this ticket now ...
@abusuioc You will be able to use the Stripe SDK on phones that do not have Google Play Services or Firebase.
The request to add support for Huawei Wallet and Huawei Pay is a much larger effort than just this team. By letting Stripe know that you are interested in this functionality it will help in prioritization of the request. We can keep this request open for now as well to track the request and other's interest in it. I have not yet heard of plans to add this support to the Payments SDK, but I will let you know if things change.
Hi @abusuioc. I’m closing this issue now, as we still don’t have plans to support Huawei Mobile Services.
