Dialogue / Report with pages that don't have any hashtags
Problem to Solve
I want to review every page (this has come up before) and I love the new hashtags. I would like to be able to get a report of all pages that don't have hashtags on them (happy with "in this notebook" as scope), which is my "todo" list. When I review them I would put a hashtag on them #Reviewed_2407.
The alternative would be a richer query syntax for the hashtag search page, which I would also be really in favour of.
I haven't looked into the performance of the hashtag system when it has 10K pages and 3 or 4 tags per page.
I don't want to put too much detail in here, in case it is a use case that you just can't see being useful.
THE FINE PRINT This is a hobby project that I started for myself. I'm happy to take requests and will promise to consider each one carefully but offer no guarantees that I will ultimately agree to their usefulness or have time to implement any of them. If OneNote offers a "close enough" work-around then I will probably reject the request - you've been warned!
@jasonjac2 Might this be solved another way that could be more generalized for more users?
Idea: instead of generating a report or additional and possibly complex UI, use the given criteria (+/- hashtags, or any other type of filtering), mark matching pages as Unread. Provide a "Next Unread" function to find and jump to the next unread page in the section/notebook/notebooks.
This takes advantage of preexisting OneNote functionality (unread) and adds, arguably, a missing bit of functionality (next unread).
