When the META-INF/thin.properties file is present, authenticated/internal maven repositories do not work.

I receive a 401 unauthorized on every call to the private repo even though the maven settings file is set up fine. When the thin.properties file is not there, the resolver works fine.

These are quite hard problems to diagnose and test. Do you have a way to reproduce the error (in a test would be ideal)?
