Change limits.conf values

I'm wondering if I can change limits.conf values by copying files to my dockerised splunk image, is it possible?

Specifically I want to extend job lifetimes so that when I 'share' a link with someone to a dashboard search it doesn't expire after only 7 days. (Docs ref: https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/SplunkCloud/latest/Search/Extendjoblifetimes)
