Indeed this is a good idea I need to find some time maybe during holidays! We've 4.1 coming out in January this could be a great feature.

I think that https://github.com/api-platform/core/pull/6960 fixes the issue. 3.4 isn't maintained anymore we focus only on 4.1 and 4.0 (security fixes)

What's locking you in 3.4 ? I'd be glad to accept a fix in 4.1 as 4.2 is only planned in September.
