Observium Update Strategy
Hi,
Currently, this image is a few months behind on observium. From the banner:
There is a newer revision of Observium available! Version 21.10.1 (18th January 2022) is 935 revisions ahead.
Is there any plan to regularly rebuild the image to pull in these updates? This does not look like it would need a repo change, as the Dockerfile pulls the latest Observium release from their site.
Thanks!
Sure, I will do it soonest.
Hello, I am in building and testing process internally for container image based on Observium 22.5.
Note: I could not commit for regular build yet. However, I will do fast as possible. It should 3-6 months by estimate (community support as expected).
I have a lot of thing to do about this project. Whenever I have more vacant time, I will do it if possible .. :-).
Sorry for too late becoz I have to priority on my running business.
I pushed mbixtech/observium:22.5 image to docker hub today.
can you please push another update of August 2023
@somsakc I appreciate the container you made (and still make) available on Docker hub very much and run it for almost 2 years now. I also notice that you're apparently very busy and totally understand that you can't shove all other work aside to keep this container up-to-date.
Would it be possible to:
- automate updating Observium in the container
- delegate the update process to some member(s) of the community?
That would save you a lot of time.
Kind regards, Alex
Update 2023-12-06:
