Biotype distributions in Ribotricer outputs

Hi,

I’ve been using your Ribotricer tool for the reanalysis of publicly available mouse and human datasets.

While assessing the distribution of ORF biotypes, I noticed that most of the datasets showed a considerably lower proportion of uORFs compared to dORFs, which was somewhat unexpected. The only filterings I applied to the Ribotricer output was keeping ORFS with less than 200 codons and removing the annotated ones. I have also triend appied a further phase score filter, in order to see if that impacted the distribution, but it does not seem to be the case. Please see below for the distribution of one of the datasets (mouse, Xie 2023).

I was wondering if this is something you've encountered before, or if it’s considered expected?

Thank you so much for this nice tool!
