Current user testing with general public still suggests most users aren't aware of what a browser is, or that there are different ones. We need a simple way to explain what you're getting and why it matters.

Simple prompt case will probably need to say something akin to: "upgrade your browser so [your fave sites|this site] works better, faster, safer" with jump off to explain more about what that actually means for our large populace of non-savvy users.

Does mean we'll need a separate resource site written for actual human beings...

Strongly agree on the "for humans" bit.

Possible resource sites which we might be able to modify to handle this include:

Or we could come up with our own for this.
