Portal - Cannot read property 'ownerDocument' of null

Open esso23 opened this issue 5 years ago • 6 comments

~~Portal does not work when using default values for parameters. Should use document.body as stated here in the docs: https://material-ui.com/api/portal/~~ Edit: I'm not entirely sure why this happens [2020-06-09T15:35:59.089Z] Error: There was an error applying batch 43. Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read property 'ownerDocument' of null

@esso23 apologies for the delayed response. covid-19 made my lifestyle occupied than ever. would you mind me trying out the Popper component using your code in a new branch?

Sure, go ahead, but the branch already exists here though https://github.com/esso23/Skclusive.Material.Component/tree/tooltip

thanks. so if have to use your branch do i have to fork and use? because i have not contributed in other repos. so your suggestion would be helpful.

Well there's "Allow edits by maintainers" checked in the pull request, which means this:

"If checked, users with write access to skclusive/Skclusive.Material.Component can add new commits to your tooltip branch. You can always change this setting later."
