How to use tool with "binary data"?

The encryption tool message input box displays the following prompt:

Whatever message / binary data you want.

How do you use the tool with binary data? I tried to click-and-drag an image into the input field, but this did not work.

If the tool only works with text inputs, then the prompt text should probably be revised to reflect this. In addition, you can probably use phrasing that is more clear than "Whatever X you want". For example:

Enter your secret here.
