It seems mildly annoying to need to use this, but the appimage doesn't work. Is there any way to get the appimage to work on gentoo? Why does it need systemd?

Hello, this isn't a Unity7 specific issue although to run appimages in general by just running them you need fuse2 this can be done by running emerge -a "=sys-fs/fuse/fuse-2.9.9-r1"
