RadioDroid prompting to install QuickLyric

Open aha999 opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

(Edit, my mistake, QuickLyric is open source)

If you click on a track above the player media buttons, and then on Lyrics, it asks you to install a QuickLyric app from google play, instead of also having an option to Fdroid link.

I think it would be better to also show a fdroid link to the app.

Also, Google play latest version 3.9.0c update was made on 1.11.2020 but on Fdroid, the latest update 2.1 was made on 8.4.2017. They say "Note: The F-Droid page is currently not up to date, they still have a build from 2 years ago. The Google Play version contains some teeny tiny portions of code that are not public (monetization, handling copyrighted content, etc.)", which means it's partially propriatery.

If there is F-Droid it would be shown in the app selection list when user clicks "Yes". Probably its worth rewording the dialog.

Sending user to the F-Droid if they don't have it installed would be rather useless.
