Will there be a new PyPI release?

Hello,

I was wondering if we can expect a new release published to PyPI at some point? I can see a number of issues have been fixed in master, however the latest release was nearly 3 years ago (and there were also no commits to master for almost two years). Is there anything at all users should be worried about regarding long-term commitment to this project?

I'm curious to understand the status of this project too. There hasn't been a PyPI release for four years now, and there's a number of commits to master since then.

I'm in the process of working out if we can use Scrapy/Splash for a large-scale scraping project, and this package is the recommended way to use Splash with Scrapy, so the lack of updates to this package is raising some questions for us about possible risks of Choosing Scrapy/Splash.

Any chance you able to provide any insights @kmike or @Gallaecio ?
