Provide bash one-liner install script to simplify the installation of Score CLIs.

Hi @sujaya-sys , This issue is still open to work ?

@ADITYADAS1999 yes, absolutely! @rachfop FYI

simplify the installation of Score CLIs.

awesome, can you explain the issue little bit ,

I found all the installation of Score implementation CLIs. here

https://docs.score.dev/docs/get-started/install/

I guess it requires you to create a bash file with all the steps to install the binary safely. Then the user can run the script on their end with something like this:

$ curl https://gist.githubusercontent.com/.../install.sh | bash

For example, you can take a look at the installation steps of oh-my-zsh (not a very good eg but you can get the idea): https://ohmyz.sh/#install

Volta.sh has a very nice installation script

image
#!/usr/bin/env bash

# This is the bootstrap Unix installer served by `https://get.volta.sh`.
# Its responsibility is to query the system to determine what OS the system
# has, fetch and install the appropriate build of Volta, and modify the user's
# profile.

# NOTE: to use an internal company repo, change how this determines the latest version
get_latest_release() {
  curl --silent "https://volta.sh/latest-version"
}

release_url() {
  echo "https://github.com/volta-cli/volta/releases"
}

  local version="$1"
  local os_info="$2"
  local tmpdir="$3"

  local filename="volta-$version-$os_info.tar.gz"
  local download_file="$tmpdir/$filename"
  local archive_url="$(release_url)/download/v$version/$filename"

  curl --progress-bar --show-error --location --fail "$archive_url" --output "$download_file" --write-out "$download_file"
}

FYI I provided some feedback on the PR that was submitted: https://github.com/score-spec/spec/pull/36#pullrequestreview-1217782092. Happy to chat about this further!

This needs to be moved to the respective Score implementation CLIs if needed. Closing as stale.
