when I use nested views for menu items they tend to go outside the screen, is there a way to set the distance between the menu items?

You can control the radius (the distance b/w FAB and other menu items). The distance between menu items is dependent on the number of menu items. It cannot be controlled externally.

Feel free to modify the source code if you want to add that capability
