Environment (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Windows 10
  • IDE: Eclipse 2019-06
  • Saros Version: 16.0.1

Additional context Right clicking on a contact while an empty session is running (no contacts joined) and clicking "Add to Saros session" will display the error "Invitation was cancelled locally because of an error: [contact] does not support Saros or the request timed out." I checked and we both have valid Eclipse versions with Saros installed, I have Eclipse 2019-06 and they have Eclipse 2019-12.

I cannot reproduce this. I removed any support broadcasting (i.e the contacts are shown in yellow a.k.a no Saros client) and I can still invite them (which will not work of course) but I am unable to reproduce the Eclipse freeze.

Could you please post a stackdump of the main thread (using jvisualvm which is included in every JAVA SDK) when the freeze is happening.
