By any chance can you make TODO list in the description of PR?

@joetifa2003 no eta as this is for v4 of framework, which v3 hasn't launched yet. Don't hold your breath.

Closing this in favour of #512 which is more up-to-date, it doesn't have a boatload of merge conflicts. It also fixes some more issues and other issues in better ways.
