Studio redirect to unusable "Dashboard"
Describe the bug
When I open my Sanity Studio today I am redirected to a new "Dashboard" that has completely broken my previous setup. The studio switcher (workspaces) does not work anymore, nothing happens when I push the dropdown.
How do I revert back to the old Studio? I'd like to disable this Dashboard forever, it gives me zero value and is now costing me a lot of time (and money) to deal with.
If I go to https://mystudio.sanity.studio/en I see my old Studio where everything works, which is what I want.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go to https://mystudio.sanity.studio and see new "Dashboard" (frame around real studio with a bunch of icons that I don't need) with a completely new URL that looks like this: https://www.sanity.io/@osomeid/studio/rblangpvyredactedephkccql/default/en/structure
I disabled the "Dashboard" from my account through some button I can't find anymore, but it still shows up.
Expected behavior
Opt-in for new features that requires me to spend time, and the ability to completely disable this feature. This unpredictable and flaky experience using your product really has me regretting using it.
+1 here, what a mess. How do I opt out of this new dashboard feature? I want to be able to deploy without updating to the latest studio version. Sanity plugins such as sanity-plugin-vercel-deploy don't work with this new version...

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused here, Dashboard can be disabled through the organization settings, https://www.sanity.io/organizations/<orgId>/settings
If you don't know the organization id, you can get there by:
- Opening https://www.sanity.io/manage
- Select your organization
- Go to settings.
- Find the Dashboard is enabled for your organization boolean and disable it

As I already said, If I go to my studio at https://mystudio.sanity.studio/ it is redirected to another URL that looks like this: https://www.sanity.io/@osomeid/studio/rblangpvyredactedephkccql/default/en/structure where the workspace selector doesn't work at all.
If I go to https://mystudio.sanity.studio/en the Dashboard is gone and my workspace selector works (as before). I can go to my other workspace by appending the name after the URL: https://mystudio.sanity.studio/no

Sorry to hear your troubles, it does seem like a configuration issue (possibly multiple organisations involved), however would it be possible for you to share the exact URLs you're having trouble with? (these would contain organisation and application IDs which would help us to track down the configuration and work with you to solve the problem).

Hi Eldoy, It is not happening to everyone who has disabled Dashboard, in all of the other cases we have heard of, it worked. It sounds like a bug from our side, that's why we are asking for more information, project id, org id or the redirect url, with that the team will be able to debug it and find a solution.
@refiito I sent you an email, the one one your profile, I don't have Discord. Today my link to my studio is just redirecting to a page that says "Logging in" and nothing ever happens. Your system is completely broken.

Getting a similar issue except the links in the emails sent when you assign a task to someone link to a completely broken and unusable dashboard. I want to complete disable the dashboard and all links to it if possible.
@pedrobonamin @refiito Any update on this? Nothing seems to have been fixed yet, it's been 2 weeks.
There are currently no forced redirects in place for existing Studio installations, if there's a proxy in the access path we (Sanity) unfortunately lack control over that. Please check your network settings and, if possible, try clearing caches for the browser and/or any proxies in the path. (The redirect was implemented as HTTP 302 response which shouldn't get stored/cached for permanent use, however unfortunately not all software follows this)
@refiito It's definitely not my DNS, and there is definitely a redirect there. It's happening to me and everyone in my dev team and my customers. I've disabled the dashboard, but it's still showing, the links to the workspaces are broken without images and the whole thing is a mess.
Hello @eldoy! I am trying to help you figure things out. We could try to agree on a meeting to try and find a solution. Can you share the Developer tools -> network tab with me to see where the redirect is initiated? I tried to go to the same Studio, but there were no redirects.
If an affected user can provide a snapshot of the HTTP response from their browser dev tools, it could help us greatly in finding the root cause. Specifically we are looking for the response from the document that gets a 302. (you may need to enable the "Preserve Log" option in your dev tools. (note that below I get a 200, so we are specifically looking for one with a 302)
I redacted the actual studio name, but I emailed the correct info (and lots more info) to @pedrobonamin

At the moment it doesn't redirect, but the page is blank, which is new. My colleague sees a broken dashboard on the same URL, even though the Dashboard has been disabled.
I just see a blank page even if I'm not logged in, and even if I try a different browser.
Here's the response headers for that URL:
We can do a call if you want, but I find it hard to believe that I'm literally the only one that sees the Dashboard when it's disabled. My email address is [email protected] if you want to set up a meeting, I need this fixed.
If I go to https://glendimplex.sanity.studio/en (the name of one of the workspaces), it works as it should, no problems.
I've been thinking about it. If you say there is no redirect now, that explains the blank page. If you add a redirect to the default workspace, in this case https://glendimplex.sanity.studio/en, then it should be working again.
Hi @indrekkarner @pedrobonamin this is happening to me also, I can no longer access my dashboard to edit any content on my site. I have tried disabling the new dashboard.
If you are able to open the Dashboard, but your studio instance is having issues, please look at your Dashboard Setup page. You can access this page in the bottom left corner gear icon menu. This page helps you troubleshoot your configuration and offers a setup guide that might be helpful.
We are also facing the problem that we can't open the studio from the new dashboard so at the moment we have to distribute the link via Slack to anyone who wants to access the CMS. Very confusing user experience if you're not able to open the CMS for a CMS product.
@aeneasr Are there any configuration issues shown in your Dashboard Setup page?
@carbonrobot We don't have any dashboard issues. On localhost the domain is redirecting correctly, but in production there is no redirect, just a blank page.

Hello @TaxNowAndrewY, I'm sorry you are having issues.
All redirects have been removed so this exact issue shouldn't be a problem anymore. Can you please tell me more details about what you are seeing?
Is the studio not loading?
Are you being redirected? To which url?
Have you dashboard enabled for your org in https://www.sanity.io/organizations/
Not sure exactly when it was fixed, but I'm no longer having this issue, redirects are working again.
