It's working for me. Would you mind sharing your logs? They can be found in `~/snap/mini-diary/current/.config/Mini\ Diary/logs/`?

Glad to hear you were able to restore your data :) The issue is similar to #62 and #19. Did this happen after the app was updated?
Someone else has reported a similar problem a few months ago. Do you have other Snap revisions in `~/snap/mini-diary/`? I suspect your diary file (`REVISION_PATH/.config/Mini Diary/mini-diary.txt`) is in another revision...
Sounds to me like the resolved path is stored in the app preferences instead of the one which includes the symlink. See Electron's [`app.getPath`](https://www.electronjs.org/docs/api/app#appgetpathname) function.

This is currently only possible with the Mac App Store and Snapcraft versions. Maybe users shouldn't be able to disable updates completely, but it would certainly be nice to have...

Alright, I've set up the testing environment again. Your code unfortunately isn't working yet. I've now simplified the local setup guide a lot, this should get it to work on...
