I know this is an older issue, but there might be a work around.

If you look in the Launchy.ini config file typically in %Appdata%\Launchy you should see an line that starts with Hotkey= and then a string of numbers. You could try closing LaunchyQT, then replacing the value in the ini file with the one from v2.5, and then reopening the new version of LaunchyQT. It might let you use the hotkey you want.
