Yeah, the project was tentatively supposed to go into beta "late 2025", with a 1.0 "sometime in early 2026", but progress has been extremely slow. I would be surprised if we had anything usable this year, though there has been some recent progress (maybe?), which you can follow in the grpc directory in the tonic repo.
