Reaper Can't Load Shearwater Piano

Problem description
Attempting to add the shearwater piano instrument to a track in Reaper causes the entire process to hang.
What did you expect to happen?
The plugin to load correctly.
What actually happened?
Reaper hangs, and is unresponsive until the wine process is killed manually.

I can confirm this with the light version using Bitwig on wine 9.22 and the new embedding branch of yabridge https://github.com/robbert-vdh/yabridge/issues/409
It's the same error I get with VPS avenger so it looks like it's a duplicate of this bug https://github.com/robbert-vdh/yabridge/issues/341 which appears to be a wine issue rather than a yabridge issue.
